ADI (the Arab Development Initiative) is an organization I have been working with for over a year now. They are truly the most amazing and motivated group of individuals I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Taking into account the recent events of the 2011 Arab Spring, ADI is aimed at bringing about sustainable development in the Middle East and North Africa region. How does the ADI aim to achieve this? By enabling individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue development projects in the region – we aim to connect, enable, educate, and inspire individuals to take action and reverse the ‘brain drain’ that often occurs in the Middle East. The focus is on six very diverse divisions: economic development, culture & society, health, science & technology, law & human rights, and education. Our main summit, the ‘Envision Arabia Summit’ will take place October 6th-8th at NYU’s Kimmel Center in New York City, and will encompass a network of hundreds of young professionals as well as a talented group of prominent speakers, expert mentors and moderators. To find out more about ADI check out the ADI website! Like them on Facebook! And/Or Follow them on Twitter! You can also send me a message if you have any inquiries about attending the conference, if you want to learn more our objectives, or want to help through donations or volunteer work. E-mail is
